Baby Hyung Jun came back to Singapore on the 17th June 2011 for the second time within a year for a fan meet/ showcase, this time, organised by Bling Entertainment and co-ordinated by Creators Production. There was no meet-and-greet session- just the fan meet held at Rock Auditorium, which made everything simpler.
I like the Rock Auditorium..if only because Bae Yong Joon’s fan meeting was also held at the same place years ago.. Looking at the fans waiting that day sure brings back memories.
The event was supposed to start @ 7.30pm but the door didn’t open till about 7.40pm. Thankfully, the crowd wasn’t too pushy and in fact, it was a rather orderly queue into the event hall (btw, each of them received a poster. ^^).
Some of the fan clubs had put up their banners at the back of the auditorium.

Ken of 100.3 was the host that night. It’s been awhile since I saw him so it was great to see him on stage again. Slowly, the fans filed in…and at about 8pm… the lights dimmed and the star came on stage.
Singing ‘Oh! Ah!’ from his Mini Album Vol 1- My Girl, he warmed up the crowd, who rewarded his hot dance with screams.
And then it was Q&A time with Ken, who proceeded to ‘teach’ Hyung Jun Singlish as it may come in handy in case he became interested in a Singaporean girl. Hehe! How? Hyung Jun’s Singlish good enough?
No fan meet would be complete without games with the fans. First game- drawing! Well, to be precise, it was Baby Hyung Jun himself drawing a picture of a lucky Thai fan. I wonder what she was thinking as she sat there… hmm..I wonder if she framed the drawing when she got home?
And then even more games with 5 lucky fans, which turned out to be truely international as they came from Singapore and the surrounding regional countries. How to play? Both Hyung Jun & the fan both each picked piece of paper that would point to certain part of their body-eg, heair, shoulder, kneee etc. Those two respective body parts had to ‘touch’ or ‘connect’ for the photographer to take a photo. I bet the fans were really thrilled with the skinship. Wahaha! Don’t understand what I’m saying… just watch the video.
And then he noticed a few very young girls sitting in the front row and promptly called them up the stage (one refused though..reminds me of Rain’s rejection by that young girl at the recent concert). But the other 3 girls were quite keen to take a photo with this oppa. ^^
And by the way, he said he wanted 10 children so that he can form a sports team. Errr…anyone wants to apply for the ‘job’?
We thought the session had ended when suddenly another fan came running up. And you couldn’t really missed her as she was very tall and very blonde- a Russian fan!!! I believe Baby Hyung Jun was also surprised and I guess that’s why he decided to give her a little extra fan service- by serenading to her. Strangely though, after her initial jumping up and down to be noticed by Baby Hyung Jun, she didn’t seemed as thrilled to be on stage leh. Maybe she was overwhelmed as well? ^^
Now who’s green with jealousy?
It was time for him to perform again and that’s when things got a little crasy as he urged the fans to ‘stand up’ whilst he sang the ‘You Are Not Other Woman’. The fans were more than happy to listen to his instructions as most of them rushed to the front and danced whilst snapping away at their cameras furiously.

And to the delight of the SS501 fans, he also sang the song U R Man, which was from the album by the same title released by SS501’s sub unit (Kim Hyung Jun, Ho Yuong Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong).

I guess the highlight of the evening to both Kim Hyung Jun and his fans would be the special clip that Singapore’s TripleS prepared for him especially. It chronicled his journey to producing his first album as well as some heartfelt wishes and blessings from the fans. They even gave him a customised trophy! In their eyes, Baby Hyung Jun is already a winner.

Was that the end of the whole show? Of course not…Baby Hyung Jun came out again for an encore at the urging of his fans where he performed Oh! Ah! again as well as My Girl.
And then it was really the end of the show…though not for some fans who had the opportunity to have his autograph and a hi-5 session with Baby Hyung Jun himself. I’m sure it won’t be the last time we see him in Singapore…but wouldn’t it be nice if it’s all the 5 boys together? Let’s cross our fingers and hope and dream.
