Jang Geun Suk wants you- Asian Fan Tour in Singapore

Sounds a bit like the army, right? hehe! Ok, by now all Eels would have known that Jang Geun Suk aka Myu Kyul aka Tae Kyung will be in Singapore on 22nd – 23rd April 11. Invited by Coloured Rhythms, this would mark his second visit to our sunny island and the second fan meet. According to the last interview, he likes our chicken rice. So I guess this time round, he would be sharing his love for the food with his parents.

He debuted in 1997 as a child actor and gained prominence in the 2006 drama, Hwang Jin Ni‘  with Ha Ji Won.

I think the tragic love story between Eun Ho and Jin Ni moved many people. This was one of the most touching scene in the drama and made everyone cried buckets of tears. (p/s- I love Baek Ji Young)

He then appeared in ‘Hong Gil Dong‘ with Kang Ji Hwan where he acted as a very pretty prince. Do you think he is as pretty as Lee Jun Ki in ‘King and the Clown’? I think got fight leh. Why are all these Korean actors prettier than us girls?

In ‘Beethovan Virus’ he was alot more manly (he also looked alot like one of my fav actor- Chun Jung Myung ^^). I totally like the uniform.

Want to hear him sing? ^^ ‘Can you hear me’ in ‘Beethoven Virus‘. I think I like his voice here much better than in the other 2 recent dramas.

I guess he really became wildly popular in the hit drama, ‘You Are Beautiful’ where he played a singer in a band together with Park Shin Hye, Lee Hong Ki and Jung Yong Hwa. It was so popular that A.N.Jell held a concert cum fan meet over in Japan.

He received not much love from me though from me coz I was rooting for Yong Hwa (who of course, didn’t get the girl). Now what wouldn’t I give to hear the A.N.Jell perform live. Sigh.

For his next drama, ‘Marry Me, Mary’ he was again a rock singer..this time with even longer bangs. Why? Now I do think Jang Geun Suk is a good actor, but I really, really did not care for the Geun-Geun couple attire in the drama. And who says you got to have long hair just because you are a rock singer?

Unfortunately, in this drama, I was rooting for Kim Jae Wook. Oops! And errr… I’m afraid the script was a waste of the cast’ talents.

I realised that, just like Kim Jae Wook, Jang Geun Suk has acted in many music related dramas and movies. Perhaps he may come out with his own album soon? It wouldn’t be unusual. Afterall, many actors like Jang Dong Gun and Lee Jun Ki have released albums before. Whatever it is, I hope he gets to explore another role in his next drama. No more rock singer please. It would be a waste of his acting skills.

Information for JGS Asia Fan Tour- Singapore

Now the gist of this whole post….Jang Geun Suk will be in Singapore from 22nd- 23rd April. This will be the first stop of his Asia Fan Meeting Tour. There will be a meet-and-greet session on the 22nd April and the Fan Meet will be held at the University Cultural Centre Hall (where C.N.Blue performed as well). I like the place. It’s cosy and most of all, you can watch clearly in comfort! No other details are out yet but Coloured Rhythms has assured the fans that they would be able to buy the tix via internet (too many nightmares of chaos and Q’s). I didn’t attend his last fan meeting in Singapore, but all those who went commented how much they enjoyed themselves. I was told he was really fun and there were lots of fan service. So I’m sure we can look forward to a fun and interesting evening. Í wonder what he will sing though….
