I’m making some changes to my site and whilst looking through my recent posts…I realized that they were all on K Pop events in Singapore. I’m serious…since October 2009, I’ve been writing about actors and singers in Singapore. And I’m not even up to date with all the events. Worse of all, there’s this alarm bell going off in my head, because I know there are many more K events to come.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed covering all these events. It gives me a chance to be able to look at al these ‘stars’ with a rather detached view and write about them a little objectively (well, just a little…you can’t really write a blog and not have your own opinion ^^) because.. *bracing myself with a big shield*….so far, none of them are artistes that I’m madly in love with. (Tiffany ducks from all the pots and pans and tomatoes thrown at her) CNBlue would be the closest as I really like their music. And FT Island too but since I didn’t get a chance to watch them perform, they don’t count.
So anyway, I thought I’d give a heads up to whoever is reading this humble blog of mine that there will be some changes coming soon. No, no, as I said, I will still be covering the K Pop events when I can. But I want to write about other things too. There are other aspects about Korea that I’m interested in besides K Pop. Just to give some examples of what I wrote in the past:
Ramyeon 101
Dreaming of Autumn in Korea
The Classic- Beautiful Days
Korean Music Videos
And I really do like most of the posts from Recommended Read like:
Piggyback- Korean Style
Bad Hair Day
And a highly, highly recommended read, though it wasn’t written by me:
50 things you can learn from a Korean drama
Ok…am going to hit the bed. Just a couple of updates from Kimchiland here. The details for the mega concert is out. Check out Proof Label’s FB and HMV’s FB for details. I’ll write about it later.
Some new details about Zuno’s showcase on Quest FB
New message from ZE:A out on Sony Music FB
Some infor from the media about Super Junior’s concert next year on Running into the Sun’s FB
And last but not least, I am very, very, very happy to announce the birth of a new English site/ forum on Bae Yong Joon, led by none other than bb. Here’s the site address- Love Bae Yong Joon. This guy really needs an English site and I’m really glad that bb, tomato etc are all there to help.
Note to bb: I’ll help out when I can…I promise…as soon as I can get the changes to site out of the way….
Until the next post….which will hopefully be tonight or tomorrow (I’ve just uploaded one clip of CNBlue’s showcase), here’s the ost for ‘Athena: Goddess of War’, which is a spin-off or sequel of ‘Iris’. It’s sang by Park Hyo Shin, one of the singers that I do spend money on by buying his albums. ‘Athena’ is scheduled for release in November 2010.
There was a period of time when I has nothing to do and I started reading your archives and I have to say, I really enjoyed it all. How it was really about Korea as a whole, and not just Kpop events. It'd be nice to see more entries like that 🙂
Hi Danica
Thanks for your support. Don't worry, I will be doing more fun posts. I only wish all these K artistes would stop coming so I can take a break. hehe! Oopss!
