Memories of the Alhambra

One of the hotly anticipated drama rounding up 2018 is ‘Memories of the Alhambra’. The 16 episodes suspense romance drama stars Hyun Bin, Park Shin Hye and Chanyeol set in Granada, Spain.

CEO Yoo Jin-woo (Hyun Bin) visits Granada, Spain, for a business trip and gets involved in a mysterious incident after staying in an old hostel run by Jung Hee-joo (Park Shin-hye). Jung Se-joo (Chanyeol), a brilliant programmer, is Hee-joo’s brother.



From various articles, the drama will feature VR (virtual reality) and CG (computer graphics) prominently. The trailers so far has Hyun Bin gun shooting like a pro to facing a medieval knight on a horse. The drama is produced by Studio Dragon (‘Goblin’, ‘Legend of the Blue Sea’), directed by Ahn Gil-ho (‘Stranger’) and written by Song Jae-jung, (‘Nine: Nine Time Travels’, ‘W: Two Worlds’).

‘Memories of the Alhambra’ will air on 1st December 2018, 22.00 on tvN. Netflix will air the show one hour after it’s broadcast in Korea in Asia and other English speaking territories. The series will also be available on the next day in Japan. Thereafter, Netflix will launch 2 episodes a week in the rest of the world starting from Dec 11, including Europe and South America.

Memories of Alhambra is also the title of a piece music composed by Francisco Tarrega, a Spanish composer and guitarist in 1896. You can expect some spectacular scenes of this beautiful place in the drama.
