Remember the Korean Fair Annyeong Seoul that we did last year? Some of you were asking if there would be another Korean Fair. Well, it seems your wish has been granted as Faith n D Entertainment will be organising a Korean Festival from 12th to 18th March 2012 at City Square Mall. What are some of things you can expect to see at the festival?
K Pop Star Talent contest
If you are able to dance, sing or mimic your favourite K Pop star, then you may want to consider joining this contest. The winner will not only win a trip to Korea, he/ she will also get to film a promotional video for Korea Tourism Organisation with…..2PM & Miss A. Wow! I think this is probably the best prize of all. Deadline ends on 8th March. There is a submission fees of $20. Check out the T & C here.
Taste Korea! Cooking Contest
This is a cooking contest with spread over the weekend 17-18 March. The semi-finals will be on 17 March with the final dual on the 18th March from 2pm-4pm. Should be interesting as I’ve always wondered how good Singaporeans are at cooking Korean food.
Korea Is Beautiful Photo Contest
This contest is closed and I believed the winner has been picked (with the most likes). The best 15 entries will be displayed at the festival. Check out the 129 photos here and the 15 finalists here. They are really very beautiful photos.
Besides the above, there will be traditional performance and games, free hanbok trying, make up session by Tony Moly and also cooking demonstrations. You cna check out the full programme here.
The opening ceremony is on 12 March and will be officiated by His Excellency, Oh Joon, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Singapore and hosted Li Yi.
For those keen to visit the mall and check out the festival, City Square Mall provides free shuttle bus from Toa Payoh, Novena and Lavendar (Mon-Sun) and Balestier and Kallang Ave (during weekend). Actually, the mall isn’t difficult to get to. It is accessible via Farrer Park mrt station. Those of you who have attended CN Blue and Miss A autograph signing session would be most familiar with it. ^^
