Singapore, 31 October 2011 – Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia’s ONE is set to launch on 1 November 2011 on mio TV by SingTel. The latest distribution deal brings the Asian entertainment channel to Singapore’s first Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) platform and completes the channel’s pay-TV carriage in the market.
ONE will debut in high definition (HD) on mio TV as channel 39, adding to the female skewing English entertainment network, Sony Entertainment Television (mio TV Ch20), on the IPTV service.
Available for subscription on mio TV’s Jing Xuan pack at launch, ONE offers prime Korean entertainment as the exclusive destination of programs produced by Seoul-based content supplier and broadcaster SBS through an output deal. ONE serves up the latest Korean drama series, with selected titles premiering 3 – 5 weeks after their debut broadcasts in South Korea. In addition, the hippest K-pop variety and music shows complement the channel’s drama line-up. ONE programs air with Chinese subtitles and selected shows with Mandarin dubbing.

Beyond Singapore, ONE was first launched in October 2010 in Malaysia and is also seen in Cambodia and Indonesia. The channel enjoys great success in Malaysia where it has been the No.1 rated HD channel on pay-TV platform Astro since January 2011.[1]
At launch, ONE will be available on a free preview for one month to all mio TV customers till 30 November 2011. In November, ONE subscribers can look forward to premiering shows including period drama Deep Rooted Tree starring Jang Hyuk (Midas); romance drama Scent of a Woman featuring Lee Dong Wook (My Girl); espionage thriller Athena: Goddess of War featuring Cha Seung-Won (City Hall) and Choi Si Won (Oh! My Lady), singer of Korean pop group Super Junior; as well as family drama Pure Pumpkin Flower starring Bae Jong Ok (My Man’s Woman).
