Korea trip 2005- Off to see some snow in April- Day 5 (Pt 1)

Day 5 (24th Apr, Sun) – Part 1

We were so disappointed with our ‘Cherry Blossoms’ experience that we felt we have to do it again.

Jo had been to Seoul Park earlier and told us there were whole rows of cherry blossoms there, so that’s where went. We finally saw and realised why people actually travel to look at these beautiful flowers.

It was Sunday, a family day.

As we walked in, we were greeted by this sight:

Does this remind you of Nami Island?

Those pretty, pretty cherry blossoms…

The park is big and I think there’s an amusement park within Seoul Park. But with sceneries like these, who needs amusement park?

And we did see snow in April

It was a shame that we did not managed to spend more time at the park but by 11am, we had to leave as we were going to Kyobo Bookstore, which was quite a distance away.

I’ve written about Kyobo bookstore in my previous report. If you need to find the address, just do a search on the net or on KNTO’s Tour2Korea website. It is fairly near to MyeongDong.

What is so interesting about Kyobo bookstore? Well, for one, you buy the entertainment magazines there. We bought 2 there which were posted by Esther earlier. And if you are studying Korean, there is a good selection of Korean textbooks and dictionaries (too many in fact- we had a headache trying to decide what to buy).

The vcd selections is ok too and for about 4,000won, you can get vcds with English subs. Of course make sure you buy those that you cannot get in Singapore lah. I bought Temptation of the Wolves’ and I was so pleased with my choice (hehehe! Jo Han Sun is very cute).

After a quick lunch, we rushed back to the motel to begin the most important part of day’s program.

The Super Live Concert.
