Day 5 (24th Apr, Sun)- Part 2
If we were excited yesterday, we were anticipating tonight’s concert even more. At least I was because not only can I hope to see Bae Yong Joon again, I would also be watching all these fantastic artistes perform- I am so especially looking forward to hearing Jo Sung Mo sing live.
We had actually wanted to go a little early to have dinner first but discovered that we didn’t have much time by the time we reached there. Nevertheless, we walked around abit and bought some snacks from the roadside (which was absolutely delicious but again, I have not idea what they were). Julia bought some donuts (they were even better and softer than Dunkin’ Donuts. Yummy!). In other words, we were determined not to be hungry (see how important food is to us Singaporeans?)
Just outside the University, many makeshift stalls had been set up selling things like mini neon torchlights (what do you call those?), fans, badges etc. We had our first taste of just how strong the Japanese tourists are. The stall owner spoke to us in Japanese and wanted to sell those little lights for 3,000 won. We told him we were not Japanese and wanted to bargain with him. I mean 3,000 won (about S$5.00) for a little torch thing was quite expensive. But he was totally disinterested in us. Luckily, we found another stall later that sold it to us at 2,000 won. This would be the first time in my entire life that I buy such a thing to wave at a concert. Normally I would have thought it crazy but again when it comes to Bae Yong Joon
We had our second encounter with the strong Japanese dollars inside when we were looking at the concert merchandise. A poster (without Bae Yong Joon picture. Why? Because he is not performing as an artiste mah!) costs 10,000 won and a t-shirt costs 30,000 won (almost S$50). I abandoned the idea of getting a t-shirt immediately and opted for the cheaper poster instead. Sigh..
(noticed they put up the price in Japanese?)
and the poster, which I actually do like, despite it not having any BYJ’s photo on it.
We slowly filed into the concert stadium… this time we were allowed our cameras. Where’s Bae Yong Joon? Can you find him?
Hehe! Better look at the photos taken by the more professional people.
Isn’t he sylislish?
Isn’t he cool?
Don’t you just want to stroke that head?
Sigh…..
The concert has yet to start and we were just thrilled to see him there again. Is it possible for him to be even better looking than yesterday? It shouldn’t be and yet, now with the headphones as well, he seems impossibly good looking and cool. I keep thinking of Tom Cruise in ‘Mission Impossible’ and Kenau Reeves in ‘The Matrix’ but there is also a certain warmth and gentleness to this coolness.
Am I gushing too much?
Sorry… can’t help it.
