Remember his fan meeting here in Singapore last year? It was also organised by The Face Shop then. It was straight after his drama, Naughty Kiss/ Playful Kiss and the visit was highly anticipated.
At that time, he promised to be back with another fan meeting and hopefully a concert.
Well, he kept his word and he’s now in back in Singapore – 17th to 19th August! Unfortunately, no concert but hey, it’s still good to see him again, right? So here are the details for his event with The Face Shop.
Kim Hyun Joong has already arrived in Singapore (I had tweeted this previously). He came direct from Taiwan and will spend the next 3 days in Singapore before going over to Malaysia on Saturday (20th August). I wonder what he’s doing now. Snoring away? Okok, I guess idols don’t snore.
Anyway, he will visit the TFS store @ Causeway Point @ 2.15pm for the opening ceremony on 19th August (Friday) and thereafter proceed to the fan meeting @ The Coliseum @ Hard Rock Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa. So those who wants to catch a glimpse of him can go to the Causeway Point branch. But those of you with ticket to the fan meet should probably give the store visit a miss in case you are late. He will depart for Malaysia on 20th August. At this moment, it is not clear if he will arrive and depart via normal route or CIP. Watch out for updates from The Face Shop SG FB.
Fan Meeting
Venue: The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, Resorts World Singapore
Date: 19th August
Time: 3.30pm
Colour Theme: Green
Arrangement: Free standing
Registration starts @ 2.30pm. Please note that bottled drinks are not allowed in the venue.
Mechanics:
Just like last year, you would have to buy TFS products for this fan meet.
– Spend $160 nett of The Face Shop products
OR
– Or buy $160 nett of vouchers (vouchers can only be redeemed after 20th August)
– Buy his latest Breakdown album from The Face Shop @ S$15.90 (this can be done only after you pruchase $160 woth of products/ vcouhers)
– Get a sure win scratch-and-win card. You will automatically be able to attend the fan meet. There are a total of 1,700 cards.
– However. with this scratch-and-win card, some lucky fans will also either get to take a photo with him or get his autograph (this will really, really depend on your luck).
Special promotion just annouced on 11th August:
For those who did not win either the autograph or photo-taking pass, do bring along the album that you bought from The Face Shop on the day of the fan meet. TFS will pick 20 lucky winners on the spot to get his autograph.
The mechanic is actually quite simple. No matter how it’s done, there will always be complaints. Since this has been approved by KeyEast, I guess they view this as the most fair system of all. The promotion mehanic in other countries is actually similar. And unlike buying tickets to a fan meet, you wil actually get products in return as well. So I guess got more value? Of course, I believe you should just buy whatever you can afford.
And, and the good news?
You can still can get tickets to the fan meet on Friday. Sales is still on going. You can even get the vouchers and the album at the venue itself. But err.. The Face Shop SG says it’s limited copies at the event itself, so if you really want to go, then go buy at the stores asap. Plus if you do get lucky and win the chance for his autograph/ photo-taking, you must dress nice- nice right?
