Did I mention in my previous post that I was extremely busy? Well, this is the reason why. In a fit of passion or was it a case of missing Korea badly (would someone like to sponsor my trip to Korea)? Anyway, bb and I have gone and organised a little Korean Fair @ Bukit Panjang Plaza from 22nd to 28nd August. So come down and join us. There will be food and drinks there so you can buy us a drink or a snack. hehe! See you all there!

This is the opening post for Annyeong Seoul posted on 8 th August 2011.
My heart skips a beat whenever I hear the words, Seoul…Korea.
I love the smell, the look and hearing everyone around me speaking in Korean despite the fact that I only understand a tiny fraction of it (thanks largely to the K drama marathon and K Pop). I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Just what draws me and the rest of there? I guess just about everything really.
The wide range of food from japjae to mandu to kimbap to the famous ginseng chicken and vast variety of kimchi (btw, good kimchi is absolutely delicious) My particular favourite?
Andong chicken. Slurp!
One interesting feature of Korean food- the street food. They are often just delicious and interesting as the ‘proper’ food.
Korean cosmetic is almost synonymous with Korea and and has become one of the must-buy item. They are affordable and good and very often generous with the samples. Of course the eye candies endorsing the brands is a big incentive to spend a whole day amongst the bb cream and face masks. ^^
And shopping..ahhh… shopping… from the street stalls in Myeongdong…
to the 24/7 shopping malls in dongdaemun….
to the ‘arty’ daehano….
the cultural streets of Isadong…
and the fashionable shinchon…shopping is heaven here in Seoul.
And if anyone should accuse me of just being a shopaholic, these icons are a delight to visit. In fact, you will often see them featured in many Korean dramas.
Who could forget the N Tower in ‘Boys Over Flowers’ where Lee Min Ho waited in the freezing cold for Goo Hye Sun.
Or the famous kissing scene between Choi Ji Woo and Kwon Sang Woo ‘Stairways to Heaven’ inside Lotte World @ Jamsil.
How about a cup of coffee from the popular drama, ‘Coffee Prince Shop No 1’? (The cakes were delicious…)
Of course, one of the main reason why I started going to Korea was this man and it’s always a thrill to do some idol spotting…^^ Afterall, it was probably the main reason why I went Korea in the first place.
There are a 1,001 reasons why I enjoyed going to Seoul but when I sit down and think about it.. the most important reason why I enjoyed going to Seoul was….
The fun, laughter and joy I shared with my friends on those trips. They were some of the more memorable parts of my life.
We can’t bring Seoul directly to all of you in Singapore… but we do hope to create a small piece of Seoul right here in Bukit Panjang Mall.
So come on down for a week of fun with special promotions from our partners, Alpha Entertainment, Cake Over Heels, Hollym, Joomak, Koryo Trading, SaSa, Tony Moly and TS Video and supported by Korea Tourism Organisatio. There will be cosmetics, skincare, food, books, magazines and K Pop merchandise galore. And during the weekend, you can even pick up some tips from our cooking demonstrations and beauty tips or watch a dance or two.
It will be a week of Korean fun right in the heart of Singapore. 진짜!
See you there from 22nd August to 28th August 2011 ^^
