Eric spying in Singapore

I’m convinced Eric likes Singapore. Why else would he come here twice, to film his drama?

Now some of you may remember that Eric was in Singapore, 2007 to film the drama, Que Sera Sera. I think they came under the invitation of the people who are trying to get lots of people here to spend money, aka, Singapore Tourism Board. So during that one episode (episode 9 to be exact), you could see our merlion, our taxis, our Little India and even our national beer, Tiger beer. It also showcased The Scarlet Hotel, the hotel they were ‘staying in’. At that time, extras were also needed though at a much smaller scale than this time round.

It created quite a bit of buzz as Shinhwa was hot and popular then. Add to the fact that those of us staying in the little red dot often don’t even get a whiff of the Korean artistes, you can imagine the hype it created then. Extras were casted quietly…mostly from the fan club. J was one of them. Does this bring back memories, J?

At that time, the cast was staying at Rasa Sentosa and I know quite a few fans went stalking Eric and even caught him swimming in the pool. Hehe!

This time, I’m not sure if they were invited by STB. I suspect not. I hope not…because I would like the outside world to know that there are things to see besides the Merlion.

The cast is staying at the Marina Bay Sands hotel and as he is supposed to be a Hallyu star, I guess there will be more scenes of swanky, high end places and indeed, it seems they were spoted filming at ION. No more Little India. Wahaha!
